The Junkluggers of Southwest Florida owner, Doug Mitro
Doug and Melissa Mitro are co-owners of The Junkluggers of Southwest Florida. Doug grew up in Pittsburgh, PA, while Melissa grew up in Detroit, MI. Doug attended the University of Pittsburgh, where he obtained a degree in Economics and an MBA. Melissa attended Walsh with a degree in Accounting and holds a CPA license. Doug and Melissa are eager to make their home and living in Southwest Florida.
The Junkluggers' robust operations model and love for eco-friendly service are what drew Melissa and Doug to them. They want to leave the world a better place for their children and grandchildren. Before they franchised with Junkluggers, Doug was a business owner in the real estate field, and most recently, was SVP of Operations Radian Valuation Services. Melissa has held various leadership positions but most recently was Director Of Finance for ASM Global.
When they aren't working, you can find them spending time with their blended family of six kids, two dogs, a granddaughter, and a grandson enjoying the weather of southwest Florida. They also love to play pickleball, golf, cards, spending time at the beach, and traveling.
